Who we are

If we wrote to you first

We contact senior property professionals whose role and work email address are published by their firm or in public professional sources. We hold your name, job title, firm, work email address and the public material we used to prepare a sample piece for you, such as articles, press releases or public posts. We use this only to write to you about our service and to tailor that sample. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering a relevant professional service to people in your role. We send a first email and at most one follow-up. If you reply "no" or ask us to stop, we stop, and we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list so that we never write again. If you do not respond, we delete your details within twelve months.

If you are a client

We hold your contact details, the pieces we prepare for you, our correspondence and billing records. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store card details. We keep billing records for seven years because Dutch tax law requires it, and everything else for up to one year after you leave, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Who else sees it

Our email provider (Google Workspace), payment provider (Stripe), and website hosting providers (ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare) process the information needed to provide their respective services. Hosting providers receive technical connection data, including an IP address and the requested page, to deliver and protect the website. We do not sell or rent your details, and we never disclose who our clients are.

Where it is stored

With Google and Stripe, which may process data outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area under the standard safeguards those providers use.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to our use of them, at any time by writing to info@fieldnoteeditorial.com. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or, in the United Kingdom, to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Optional Google Analytics

Provider: Google Ireland Limited. After consent, Google Analytics uses first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies with a pseudonymous browser identifier. We limit these cookies to 180 days without extending their expiry on each visit. We send page paths and the referring site’s origin, without URL query strings or fragments. We do not send names, email addresses, form contents or calculator inputs. Advertising personalisation, Google signals, granular location/device collection and automatic enhanced measurement are disabled.

This property is configured for 2-month retention of user-level and event-level data. The user-data retention period is not renewed by new activity. This limit does not cover standard aggregated reports. Withdrawing consent stops further collection and removes Analytics cookies from this website; it does not automatically erase information already received by Google.

Google may process data outside the EEA and the United Kingdom, including in the United States. See Google’s international transfer safeguards and Google Analytics data protection information. Your consent is the basis for this optional measurement. Withdrawal does not affect earlier processing based on consent.

Cookies and privacy choices

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, pages viewed and broad traffic sources so we can improve this website. Optional analytics is off until you choose Accept analytics. Only necessary and closing the first prompt leave analytics off. You can use the whole website if you refuse, and change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings.

When you save a privacy choice, we store site-cookie-consent in your browser’s local storage. It contains your choice, its version and time, with no visitor ID. This necessary record expires after 180 days and is not sent to an analytics service. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Clearing browser storage also removes the saved choice.
